018 Darkness: Parents can f#ck you up, sometimes intentionally.

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
    They may not mean to, but they do.   
They fill you with the faults they had
    And add some extra, just for you.
But they were fucked up in their turn

Today I heard a very sad story that echoed of my own. A 14yr old begging to be taken away from his father by the state.
But by then he was already too damaged to have any kind of life.
He died at 40yrs old.
My dear brother would have been 48yrs old this year. He didn’t make it past 18yrs…

The street light flickered sporadically over the lone figure of the boy writhing within it’s beam. Minutes ticked by has his body curled into a foetal position, relaxed, while releasing it’s last breath…
