005 Learning to love myself: Spining the Wheel…

On my way back from buying Beechams Plus I discover I have a flat tyre.

In the past this would have been catastrophic, (the whole world is against me type of scenario), but I calmly drove home in the rain. I unpack my extra shopping, I change the wheel in the rain all the time thinking I am not sure I know what I am doing.

I finish successfully feeling pretty proud of myself. Despite feeling slightly dizzy from blocked sinases, aching, burning hot and cold I was able to solve my own problem.

I am overcoming my ‘learned helplessness’, something most abused children end up being because they are too afraid to assert themselves for fear of reprisal.

I am overcoming my self-doubt also and empowering myself everyday.
